We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior R&D Tooling Engineer to join our client, a leading manufacturer of high-quality ink markers. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing tooling solutions that support the manufacturing of our products. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the tooling meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Job Requirements : 1. Tooling Design and Development: Design and develop new tooling for manufacturing processes related to ink markers. Utilize CAD software to create detailed tooling designs and specifications. Ensure tooling designs meet product specifications, production requirements, and safety standards. 2. Process Optimization: Analyze and improve existing tooling and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production workflows. 3. Project Management: Lead and manage tooling projects from concept through to implementation. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track project progress. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and successful project completion. 4. Testing and Validation: Develop and execute testing protocols to validate tooling performance and product quality. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to tooling during the production process. 5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with R&D, production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of new tooling. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and outcomes. 6. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all tooling designs, modifications, and validations. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Qualifications Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in tooling design and development, preferably in the ink marker or related industry. Proven track record of managing and leading tooling projects. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and machining techniques. Knowledge of injection moulding, stamping, and other tooling methods. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong project management and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Relevant certifications in tooling or manufacturing engineering are a plus
