Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:
- Washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Preparing ingredients for dishes as directed by chefs or cooks.
- Assisting with food packaging and labeling.
- Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors.
- Washing and drying dishes and utensils.
- Taking out trash and recycling.
- General Kitchen Support:
- Stocking and organizing supplies and equipment.
- Operating kitchen equipment as needed.
- Unloading food deliveries.
- Sorting, storing, and distributing ingredients.
Essential Skills and Qualities:
- Attention to Detail: Following instructions and ensuring food is prepared and cleaned properly.
- Organizational Skills: Keeping the kitchen tidy and organized.
- Basic Kitchen Knowledge: Understanding general kitchen operations and food handling procedures.
- Food Safety Awareness: Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices.
