This position reports to

Marketing & Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the account strategy for local/ strategic accounts focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Each day, you will coordinate the sales activities and manage resolution of specific customer problems. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid This role is contributing to the Electrification Service Business based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}. You will be mainly accountable for: • Defining and proposing sales targets for the account and ensuring those are achieved with a structured follow up process across divisions and countries. • Creating added value for both the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach. • Driving the application of standardized Marketing and Sales processes and tools for the account, exploring the install base and life cycle of equipment to develop the opportunities. • Selling products/solutions/services to customers with the focus on volume, mix, and profitability targets. • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and SoW growth actions. • Monitoring competitors’ activity with the account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented. • Understanding the key drivers of the relevant customer’s business and their business environment and accordingly interpreting the impact and opportunity for ABB.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Business degree with the relevant qualifications as below may also apply.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry for MV and LV switchgear related business. Switchgear Service Sales experience would be an added advantage.
  • Must be familiar with Petronas requirements for category management, agents and distributors.
  • Must have experience and network among the key accounts for this segment in Malaysia, namely Petronas and their affiliates, Shell, PTTEP, Hess, Hibiscus, JX Nippon and others.
  • Experience in leading a small team and handling large bids that requirement extensive terms and conditions negotiations and commercial requirements.
  • Confident and able to manage and interact with C-suite level stakeholders.
