  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Beecroft Animal Specialist & Emergency Hospital Job Title: Emergency and Critical Care Senior Veterinary Nurse – Night/Day About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) team. This is a night-shift role that plays a critical part in supporting the emergency care of small animals, including ICU patients. The ideal candidate will have extensive veterinary nursing experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care. Reporting to: Head of Department Employment Type: Full-Time Working Hours: Night shifts 7pm – 7am, alternate 3/4-day work week, including weekends and public holidays Day Shifts, 7am – 7pm, 4 day work week, including Public Holiday and weekend Key Responsibilities Triage and assist with new emergency case admissions Support veterinarians with anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery Assist in the care and treatment of inpatients, particularly those in ICU Monitor critical patients throughout the night Take radiographs and assist in diagnostic procedures Restrain patients for examinations and treatments Prepare patients for surgery and assist with postoperative recovery and bandaging Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding patient updates Attend daily inpatient rounds and participate in self-directed learning Provide training and mentorship to junior nurses and patient care assistants Desired Skills & Qualifications Degree or Diploma in Veterinary Technology or equivalent Minimum of 7 years' experience in the veterinary field At least 3 years of leadership experience preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure Committed to professional development and high standards of care Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) - Up to $7K Night shift allowance Health insurance Employee discounts Ongoing professional development opportunities
