Key Responsibilities:
- Execute routine vibration data collection services using a portable analyser or monthly. Non-routine monitoring can be expected from time to time.
- Execute thermography services on critical assets when required.
- Execute shaft alignment services during shutdown when required.
- Prepare the service reports on thermography and alignment activity for review by Service Engineer, prior to submission to VMM staff.
- Work closely with Segment Lead to monitor bearing consumption.
- Support onsite bearing dismounting or mounting activities.
- Support oil analysis and grease calculation activities.
- Utilize SKF database to maintain all equipment logs, repair history and spare parts consumption.
- Prepare necessary documentation for billing process.
- Maintain and ensure availability of the company’s car.
Desired Qualification, Experience and Traits:
- Diploma in Engineering, in the field of Mechanical or equivalent.
- Certified vibration analyst Level I (CAT-I) is a must.
- Certified infrared thermography Level I is a plus.
- Experience in precision shaft alignment is a plus.
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role in condition monitoring.
- Knowledge across condition monitoring devices is essential.
- Must be well organized and possess the ability to prioritize tasks while working with short deadlines and in line with SKF and VMM practices.
- Must reside in Manjung area (housing allowance to be provided).
- Excellent written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
