About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Iris Capital Partner's growing business development team in our Kuala Lumpur office. As a Business Development Associate, you will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of our funds management business. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for identifying and capturing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and supporting the development and execution of our sales and marketing strategies.

What you'll be doing

  • Proactively research and identify prospective clients, both locally and regionally, who align with our investment strategies and funds
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of new investor leads and opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients
  • Collaborate closely with the investment team to understand our private funds offerings and effectively communicate the value proposition to clients
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and initiatives to raise the profile of our funds
  • Provide excellent client service and support to existing investors
  • Contribute to the overall growth and strategic direction of the business development function

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably in the funds management or investment banking industry
  • Strong understanding of the funds management industry, investment products, and client needs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both institutional and high-net-worth clients
  • Proven track record of identifying and capturing new business opportunities
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM tools
