Accounts Payable & Receivable:

Process invoices, verify financial data, and ensure payments are made on time.

Maintain and monitor accounts receivable, following up on outstanding payments and resolving discrepancies.

Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and company records.

Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger

Reconcile sub-ledger balances with general ledger accounts.

Assist the Senior Accountant in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Ensure that all financial data is accurate and up to date.

Review and process employee expense claims in accordance with company policy.

Assist in maintaining records of company expenses and report discrepancies.

Ensure that all financial records are maintained in compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.

Assist in providing required documentation and support during internal and external audits.

Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.

Handle ad hoc financial tasks as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager.

Petty cash management.

Experience with WPS and purchase orders.

Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence, ensuring effective communication within the team and with external clients.

Maintain and organize files, records, and documentation in both physical and digital formats.

Perform other administrative duties as required to assist the team and improve overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2-3 years of experience in a similar accounting role and administration.

Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, and proficiency in accounting software and office applications.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in a construction or contracting industry is a plus.

· Familiarity with VAT regulations and submission .
