Workshop Supervisor (Mechanical Fabrication & Overhaul)

Core Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day operations in the workshop involving: *Steel fabrication and welding works *Overhaul of pumps, impellers, gearboxes, and heavy industrial machinery Manage and coordinate multiple teams working on different projects Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to workers when needed Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure job quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications Monitor job progress to ensure timely completion of tasks according to schedule Propose solutions and troubleshoot technical issues on-site effectively Ensure safety protocols and workshop discipline are maintained Optimize workflow, material usage, and manpower for project efficiency Job Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical workshop or heavy industry environment Strong background in steel fabrication and mechanical overhaul (pump, gearbox, rotating equipment, etc.) Proven supervisory experience in managing workshop teams and assigning tasks Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics Skilled in identifying problems and proposing practical solutions Familiarity with quality control processes in fabrication and repair works Able to liaise with engineers, clients, and internal teams professionally Good planning, organizational, and leadership skills Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Basic computer literacy (e.g., email, report writing, documentation)
