Job Summary:
The Operations Assistant Manager (OAM) supports the Site & Operations Manager in coordinating daily site operations at the Glasshouse. This role supervises a diverse team including operations staff, technicians, IT personnel, and outsourced service providers to ensure the facility runs smoothly. The OAM provides minimal oversight on horticulture and guest-facing functions while focusing on back-end operations and resource coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Developing and Implementing Operational Procedures
Support the development and improvement of SOPs to enhance daily operations, efficiency, and productivity.
- Coordinate Park Operations
Work alongside the Operations Manager to ensure smooth execution of day-to-day activities involving staff, contractors, and support services.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination
Liaise with other teams (technical, IT, maintenance, outsourced service providers) to align activities and resolve site-related issues promptly.
- Staff Performance Monitoring
Monitor team attendance, productivity, and discipline; provide feedback and assist in performance appraisals.
- Assist in General Maintenance Oversight
Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the site infrastructure.
- Light Oversight of Horticulture Operations
Provide minimal oversight to the Horticulturist and nursery team, focusing mainly on logistical support and reporting tops Manager.
- Support Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Maintenance Tasks
Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians, ensuring timely response to maintenance issues and adherence to safety standards.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance
Monitor implementation of health, safety, and environmental regulations to protect staff and guests.
- Handle Sensitive Operational Information
Maintain confidentiality and integrity when dealing with staff matters or operational data.
- Assist with Errands and Ad Hoc Tasks
Perform site-related errands and duties as assigned by the Operations Manager from time to time.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Operations Management, Facilities Management, or relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or assistant managerial experience.
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in Genting Highlands and in a dynamic outdoor environment.
Added Advantage:
Experience in tourism, hospitality, or horticultural environments.
Familiarity with outsourced vendor management.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
