
Playschool Teacher
Job Summary:
Kiddocare is seeking a passionate and nurturing Playschool Teacher to join our team. As a Playschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where young children can learn and grow. Your responsibilities will include implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering social and cognitive development, and ensuring the well-being of each child under your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons to meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of young children.
- Create a welcoming and supportive environment that promotes learning through play, exploration, and discovery.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observe and assess children's development and progress, and communicate findings to parents and supervisors as needed.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, following health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate activities and maintain a cohesive educational environment.
- Encourage and model positive behaviour and social skills, fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom community.
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with young children in a playschool, day-care, or early childhood setting.
- Passion for working with children and creating a nurturing learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards children's learning and development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (Plus point).
