Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Job Type: Full-time About the Role: We’re looking for a Structural Naval Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy, delivering specialized design and engineering solutions to clients in the naval and offshore sectors. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects involving FPSOs, offshore platforms, and maritime structures, working closely with a respected client at the forefront of offshore and naval engineering innovation. Mandatory Skills: 1+ year using FEMAP or other FEA tools for structural analysis in naval projects, and/or 2+ years of FE analysis using plate elements in hull design or floating units Strong understanding of industry standards like ABS, BV, and DNV. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar. Master’s degree or certifications in Naval/Offshore Engineering. Experience with SACS, SESAM, STAAD.Pro, or Orcaflex. Previous work on FPSO design, floating units, or subsea structures. Key Responsibilities: Perform structural analysis for FPSOs, FSOs, and offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Use FEMAP or similar software for detailed structural analysis of hulls, risers, and floating systems. Conduct FEA using plate elements in naval projects to ensure structural integrity and compliance with classification society standards (e.g., ABS, DNV). Produce detailed reports on structural integrity assessments, fatigue analysis, and material take-offs (MTOs). Collaborate with project teams to address technical issues and provide engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
