Strategic Performance Review

  • To prepare, track and analyse the MISC Group BSC:
  1. To prepare and facilitate the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Setting process for the MISC Group’s BSC on yearly basis, and to ensure it aligns with the approved Business Plan & Strategy. This includes the 5 identified dimensions; Financial, Strategic Initiatives, Operations, HSSE & Sustainability, and People Development and Ethics.
  2. To track and analyse the MISC Group BSC performance on quarterly basis, for reporting to Enterprise Leadership Team (ELT) and bi-annually to MISC Board.

This includes handling the submission of all the reporting units across MISC Group; GAS Business, Petroleum Business, Offshore Business, Heavy Engineering Business, MISC Marine, Finance, Group HR, Group HSSE, Legal, Group Strategic Relations and Communications, Group Strategy & Sustainability, and New Energy Department.

  • To prepare, track and analyse the Group Strategy & Sustainability (GSS) BSC:
  1. To prepare and facilitate the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Targets Setting process on yearly basis, and to ensure it aligns to the approved MISC Group BSC.
  2. To track the GSS BSC performance on quarterly basis.
  • To monitor the Business Units’ (BUs) and Supporting Units’ (SUs) BSC (“Units’ BSC"):
  1. To facilitate the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Targets Setting process for the Units’ BSC on yearly basis, and to ensure it aligns to the approved MISC Group BSC.
  2. To ensure that the respective Group KPIs are adopted and communicated across the Units, with adequate accountability measures in place during the KPI & Targets Setting process.
  3. To review the respective Units’ BSC performance on quarterly basis.
  • To facilitate the Head of Departments BSC (“HOD BSC”) within GSS department:
  1. To prepare and facilitate the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Targets Setting process on yearly basis, and to ensure it aligns to the approved GSS BSC.
  2. To track the HOD BSC performance on quarterly basis, or as required.
  • To prepare and analyse the “Portfolio of Investments and Opportunities (PIO)” (representing the Investment opportunities and projects development across MISC Group) to be presented during ELT Meetings. This includes to ensure timely submission of information/input by the Business Units and New Energy Department.
  • To prepare and analyse the Monthly Digest report for the consumption of MISC Board of Directors, and President and Group CEO of PETRONAS, which includes facilitating the submissions from Finance, Group HSSE, and GSS.
  • To track GSS’s expenses (G&A) and Budget - which includes to advise on the departmental (GSS) G&A budget on yearly basis, and to monitor/track the actual expenses (against budget) throughout the year.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of working experience in finance / accounting / audit / corporate planning / equity or industry research / investment banking / strategy / consulting.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate performance management, strategic planning frameworks, and KPI tracking.
  • Excellent reporting, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge in Maritime or Oil & Gas industry, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting would be an added advantage.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / business studies / economics or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification or relevant post graduate degree would be an added advantage (e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst or MBA).
