Role Description
Overseas the Trade Marketing Division, responsible for market brand development and develop trade-marketing strategies of affiliate brands.
Responsibilities
Identify key responsibilities and how they are accomplished.
1. Promotion Planning
- Responsible to implement and execute all planned trade activities in order to achieve sales target and brand objectives.
- Responsible to implement and execute all marketing promotional activities (e.g. for instance realising all activities in various channel strategy as in Retail, Channel Integration, utilising Marketing Partners etc).
- Assist in developing Point of Sales Materials (POSM) and keeping track of its usage as well as its effectiveness, by working closely with the Creative Team.
2. Channel and Customer Focus
- Responsible in product penetration to end users by implementing activities in accordance to pre-defined channel strategy.
- Assist in merchandising and retail space planning, as in shelf display and increase distribution presence, by working closely with Merchandizing Team.
- Assist Merchandising in planogramming during category revamp.
- Assist the Trade Marketing Manager in analyzing data on brand and sales performance for future sales and marketing plan.
- Assist the Trade Marketing Manager to follow up and evaluate the effectiveness of product category sales and promotional activities with Sales Manager and Sales Executives.
- Monitor the Marketing budget and to highlight to Management of any abnormalities in cost expenditure.
- Assist and work closely with e-commerce team in new product listing and ensure that time to market is reasonable within the pre-defined time frame.
3. Category Focus
- With the pre-defined product merchandising guideline, he/she would be required to assist the Merchandizing team for effective retail.
- Responsible to execute and implement pre-defined counteractions for shortfalls in all planned channel strategies, planned trade strategies, Sales and Promotional activities.
- Assist the Trade Marketing Manager to identify shortfalls, issues in all product categories and come up with countermeasures for future planning. He/she is responsible to implement the planned countermeasures.
- Responsible to implement, monitor and keep track of the sales trade plan which includes all merchandising activities, promotional activities and distribution activities).
- Work closely with Logistics to ensure stock availability.
4. Others:
- Prepare and submit the required weekly / monthly report to Sales GM in accordance to pre-defined timeline.
- Assist the Marketing Team in Baby Fair, as and when required.
Jobholder Qualifications
- The acceptable entry level requirements for this job, in terms of:
- Graduate in Business Administration/ Marketing.
- Good communication skills in written, verbal and presentation.
- At least 6 -8 years of Trade Marketing experience in FMCG company.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and computer literacy.
- Knowledge of planogramming.
- Able to manage reporting tools systems and market research systems.
- Excellent command in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with various people of different levels and departments within the company.
- Knowledge of managing Trade Spend
- Creativity, innovation, and Strong analytical skills.
