About the role:

As a Data Centre Operations Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping the infrastructure running smoothly across multiple countries. This is a travel-intensive field role where you'll be responsible for on-site troubleshooting, installation, deinstallation, and general system support in various data centres.

If you're someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving technical challenges, and enjoys the opportunity to travel for work—this is the role for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Travel regionally to perform onsite installation, troubleshooting, and deinstallation of equipment.
  • Execute Layer 1 connectivity support and ensure proper cable management.
  • Perform system administration duties, including OS patching, upgrades, diagnostics, and performance monitoring.
  • Deploy and configure network devices, servers, and other hardware.
  • Build and assemble server hardware and perform operating system installations.
  • Support both physical and virtual customer environments.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work activities and installation plans (e.g. via Spreadsheets/Visio).
  • Monitor and escalate critical incidents, ensuring resolution follows SOPs

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Mandarin (written & spoken) — a must for communicating with China-based clients.
  • Fresh graduates in IT, Computer Science, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • 1–2 years of experience in data centre or IT infrastructure roles is a plus.
  • Open to frequent regional travel (domestic/international).
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, weekends or public holidays as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Physically able to work in a data centre environment — long hours standing, kneeling, or moving equipment.
