We are looking for a responsible and motivated Site Safety Officer to join our plantation team. This role is open to fresh candidates with relevant academic background or 1–2 years’ working experience in a related field.

  • Yellow Book is not required – the company will support training and certification for the right candidate.
  • You will be required to stay on-site at Lojing Highlands. Accommodation will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Monitoring & Awareness

  • Help conduct safety inductions, fire drills, and safety briefings for staff.
  • Support safety training sessions for all workers.
  • Observe and record daily safety activities and report unsafe acts or hazards.
  • Assist with routine safety inspections and recommend improvements.

Safety Reporting & Documentation

  • Assist in preparing monthly safety reports and statistics.
  • Help keep audit documents and safety records up to date.
  • Support in submitting regulatory reports like NADOOPOD, JKKP 8, and others.
  • Maintain updated Emergency Response Plans and contact lists.

Safety System Support

  • Help implement safety procedures based on OSH, FMA Act, IFC Guidelines, and company policies.
  • Participate in reviewing safety laws and compliance matters.
  • Support HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) and job safety assessments.
  • Assist in monitoring safety compliance of workers and subcontractors.

Teamwork & Training

  • Work closely with management and contractors to ensure safe operations.
  • Join safety coordination for new or high-risk tasks on-site.
  • Provide support during safety audits and inspections.
  • Maintain good working relationships with the team and external parties.

Requirements

  • SPM graduate/ Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Plantation/Agricultural Management, or related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. 1–2 years of experience in safety or plantation-related work is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to undergo Yellow Book training (provided by company).
  • Good communication in both Bahasa Malaysia & English.
  • Willing to stay on-site – accommodation provided.
  • Possess a valid driving license.
