The Position
The experienced and dynamic Content and Channel Management Lead oversees the development, management, and distribution of internal and external communications and content across various platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring clear, engaging, and consistent communication across internal and external channels, ensuring content is created under Global Communications and business priorities and aligned with specific geographies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of content strategies for Organon, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and culture. Create high-quality written, video, and multimedia content tailored to each audience.
- Manage and optimize content across channels, including intranet, email newsletters, internal blogs, website, social channels, thought leadership content, sponsored content and other platforms, to maximize engagement and ensure timely delivery of information.
- Work directly with Communications Franchise Leads and Communications Business Partners to understand the content needs by therapeutic area and audience. Collaborate closely across Functions to gather content, understand messaging needs, and ensure content resonates with employees at all levels.
- Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure a consistent flow of content across channels, aligned with company initiatives, announcements, and events, and other content/channel managers.
- Responsible for securing the appropriate local legal/regulatory approvals for content created as well as appropriate language requirements.
- Monitor engagement with content, using analytics tools to track performance and adjust strategies accordingly. Regularly report on content effectiveness and pivot content and approaches based on the metrics.
- Ensure all communications align with the company’s brand voice, tone, and values, and maintain a positive, inclusive, and transparent communication culture.
- Foster engagement through innovative content formats such as employee/patient stories, surveys, content partnerships, new formats and feedback loops.
- Minimum of a BA required
- 5+ years of experience in public relations including digital and social media engagement.
- Proven ability to prepare strategic communications plans and deliver strategic advice to cross-divisional team members as well as the ability to deliver at the tactical level.
- Excellent written communication, presentation and planning skills with demonstrated experience speaking and writing clearly and convincingly, tailoring communications to match specific customer needs.
- Ability to execute within dynamic, fast-paced organization.
- Clear thinking/problem solving; successfully lead multiple projects/initiatives within communications/PR function; able to quickly grasp new ideas; able to simplify strategy into specific actions with clear accountability; make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information and communicate priorities clearly and concisely.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex information in a simple manner; able to deliver key messages effectively both verbally and in writing, with excellent application of the English language.
- Experience working with video (storyboarding, filming & editing), plus web and social media content development.
- Ability to plan and manage a limited budget, with expenditures clearly tied to defined metrics and outcomes for all major projects and initiatives.
- Candidates who have experience in pharmaceutical or health care is preferred.
- US and global market experience are highly preferred.
- Candidates should have significant experience leading media, social media and global communications programs on behalf of large, global corporations.
- Agency experience may also be relevant.
- Proven ability to articulate and lead a long-term strategic communications platform that builds and supports businesses.
- Ability to handle crisis communications and short-term communications objectives.
