Duties & Responsibilities 1. Responsible to Inspect and observe machinery, equipment, building, plant premises and employee working habits to detect potential hazards and make recommendations for corrective action. 2. Liaise with relevant government bodies (DOE, DOSH, JBE, MPPP, PBA, TNB, IWK and BOMBA) on reporting and present report on HSE when required. 3. Assist in reviewing HSE input to major plans and specifications for new operations, construction or demolition, equipment or facility purchases as well. 4. Assist in identifying the health and safety training requirements and conduct safety-related training for employees. 5. Assist in maintaining effective accident reporting and accident investigation procedures; makes recommendations to avoid similar accidents in the future. 6. Assist in implementing programs to ensure the preparedness of the company to deal with emergencies arising from HSE hazards and/or accidents. 7. Advise management on measures to be taken in the interest of environmental safety and health. 8. Monitors and evaluates plant performance on key environmental issues and programs, recommends corrective action where appropriate. 9. Maintains knowledge of complex industry trends, current environmental issues and update management on risk and threat that could impact company business. 10. Assist in compiling incident analysis and investigation relative to all incidents with advice and closure to all responsible functional management and supporting security management. 11. Any other duties that may be given by Management from time to time. Position Requirements Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Environmental/Health/Safety/ Sustainability Science/Environmental Technology or equivalent. Candidate must possess CEPSWaM certificates Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review, evaluate, recommend changes and/or develop and implement new programs as requirements and customer needs change. Must have the skill and ability to conduct and/or support sensitive investigations involving company personnel, assets and/or proprietary information. Must have ability to develop unique solutions that balance the needs of the business without loss or compromise of company assets. Computer skills required - Knowledge of Microsoft Office - MSWord, MSExcel,MSPowerPoint and MSOutlook highly desired.
