To manage financial operations, reporting, and compliance for both the construction business and the holding company. This role involves end-to-end financial support at the project level and corporate level, ensuring sound financial governance, strategic funding, and timely financial insights to support business growth and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain accurate financial records for all ongoing construction projects, ensuring proper classification of project costs and compliance with accounting standards and contract terms.
- Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and site personnel to understand project progress, cost movements, and operational challenges, providing timely financial insights to support decision-making.
- Review and validate progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts submitted by contractors and subcontractors, ensuring they are supported by proper documentation and aligned with contractual agreements before processing.
- Coordinate with the contracts and procurement teams to certify claims and ensure payments are made accurately and on schedule, while monitoring retention sums, advance payments, and performance guarantees.
- Track project cash flows by managing collections from project clients and monitoring timely disbursements to suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Support financing strategy development to optimize capital structure and funding costs. Monitor covenant compliance for loan facilities and manage financing activities, including drawdowns, repayments, and post-financing monitoring.
- Oversee the tracking of capital expenditures and construction-related fixed assets, ensuring accurate recording and capitalization in accordance with accounting policies. Ensure that asset transfers and project close-outs are completed efficiently and with full documentation.
- Support the preparation of monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports and ensure revenue recognition is done correctly based on project milestones and performance obligations under MFRS 15.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete assessments for construction projects, highlighting financial risks or potential overruns to senior management proactively.
- Strengthen financial controls and processes at the project level to ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements.
- Manage financial reporting and consolidation for both projects and subsidiaries, including performance reporting.
- To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.

- Candidate must possess a Degree/ Professional Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent from reputable universities with good academic result
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS, tax compliance, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and strong Excel skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across departments and teams.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Result oriented, Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Good knowledge of accounting standards
