Accounting Manager

Position Overview
In this role, the incumbent shall take ownership of key responsibilities within a fast-growing business in a dynamic environment. Supporting the Senior Finance Director, you'll help navigate daily operational challenges and contribute to various ad hoc initiatives that drive business growth. If you thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving setting and enjoy working independently with room for initiative and problem-solving, this could be a perfect opportunity for you. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare accounting entries and reconciliations for all areas of the income statement and balance sheet.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Maintenance of the fixed asset subledgers.
- Sales invoices, supplier invoice and expense processing.
- Responsible for month, quarter, and year-end close related activities including trend analysis, preparation of flux analysis and ad hoc analysis, various month-end reports and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial information for external audits and coordinate with management and external auditors to provide requested schedules and support.
- Support and ensure compliance with all statutory finance and tax filing requirements.
- Support administration matters of local office.
- Assist in on-going projects of ERP system.
- Proactive in identifying process inefficiencies and offer suggestions for improvements.
- Other ad-hoc assignments from time to time.
Required Qualifications and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in maintaining full set of accounts and Big 4 public accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of IFRS.
- Well-versed in MS Office with advanced MS Excel and good PowerPoint skills.
- Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growth oriented environment.
- Able to learn and adapt to new process flows and software technologies quickly.
- Good communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
