Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad (“CCM”) is a leading manufacturer and supplier of chlor-alkali, polymers chemicals, and sulphur-derivative products in Malaysia. CCM is a subsidiary of Batu Kawan Berhad (“BKB”), a major shareholder of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (“KLK”). With operations in 5 states and 9 operating sites, CCM provides essential chemicals for various industries such as water purification, oleochemicals, petrochemical, electronics, rubber gloves, daily use cleaning agents etc. We are exporting our chemical to Asia region.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales & Marketing Executive located in Bandar Baru Bangi. The Sales & Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing and executing market plans, conducting market research, servicing customers, understand customers’ requirements and driving sales initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include managing customer relationships, coordinating marketing campaigns, and analyzing market trends. The role involves regular collaboration with internal teams to align sales and marketing strategies to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

  • To study and analyse levels of Sales and Gross Margins by implementation of sound and effective marketing strategies as well as to ensure that market share is in line with overall business objectives. To growth the market share & stay ahead of competition (locally & regionally), supporting to formulating short- and long-term strategies. Execution by assessing the market trends, development, competitors’ activities and change in market atmosphere.
  • To pursue and identify new business potential in rubber market, assist in evaluating potential & expanding product portfolio, market opportunity and threat in order to protect company interest.
  • To gather and analyse market information, industry coverage and competitors’ activities to facilitated and support for business strategic and business plans.
  • Keep abreast with market trend, new products and technology development, for rubber industry, product proposal, applications and fulfilment on the specific customer requirements.
  • Keep abreast with product and customer technology development, product performance and legislation requirements and direction in industry and country policies so to participate and working with the Research and Development team for establishment of new product development pipeline and company technology strategy.
  • To work closely with teams such as sales, operations, R&D, group’s business development team to gather insights, share data and ensure alignment in executing business strategies.
  • Implement short- & medium-term strategic business plans for market position strengthening, new market penetration and business opportunities for Malaysia and regional countries in order to achieve budgeted sales and margin returns.
  • Manage & lead to gather and analyse market information, industry coverage and competitors’ activities to facilitate and enhance development of the strategic business plans.
  • Lead the market survey analysis and market products information gathering to determine customers’ needs, sales volume and pricing schedules. Plan and conduct right and appropriate approach so to ensure department goals are met.
  • Working closely with sales & joint visit to understand customers’ existing and new requirements, through Research & Development or Manufacturing teams to understand customer or market needs in relating to right & in-time product or redesign of existing products.

  • Degree or higher qualification in business or science related discipline
