Senior Consultant Procurement & Supply Chain Strategy (coupa,powerbi,python)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Senior Consultant to join our procurement and supply chain consulting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement & Supply chain consulting, cost reduction strategies, pre-sales support, and bid submission. This role requires expertise in supply chain & Procurement transformation, and cost reduction and benchmarking to deliver impactful solutions for clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Consulting & Cost Reduction

• Lead cost reduction initiatives by optimizing procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
• Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide insights on supplier consolidation, category management, and spend analysis to enhance procurement performance.
• Support clients in achieving 5-10% cost savings through procurement best practices, sourcing optimization, and process reengineering.

Pre-Sales & Bid Submission

• Assist in pre-sales activities, including client meetings, proposal development, and solution presentations.
• Lead the creation of RFP responses, bid proposals, and commercial offerings for potential clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling business cases, ROI analyses, and solution frameworks.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define scope, pricing models, and project execution plans for bid submissions.

Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation

• Design and implement supply chain transformation strategies for clients to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Develop fulfillment and logistics strategies to optimize cost per shipment, network efficiency, and fleet utilization.
• Drive initiatives such as warehouse design, transportation optimization, and inventory strategy to improve service levels.
• Identify synergy opportunities across business units to reduce supply chain costs and enhance resource utilization.

Network Optimization & Benchmarking

• Conduct benchmarking studies and market analyses to assess procurement and supply chain performance.
• Formulate manufacturing footprint strategies to improve overall cost-to-serve and operational efficiency.
• Lead data-driven decision-making for procurement and supply chain projects, leveraging tools such as Power BI, Python, and Coupa.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in procurement consulting, supply chain strategy, and cost optimization.
• Strong background in network design, cost benchmarking, and process optimization.
• Proven expertise in pre-sales, bid management, and solution development for consulting engagements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills for client engagement and executive presentations.
• Educational qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (IIT background preferred).
