Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team for a high-profile Data Centre construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely project delivery through proactive planning and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and Procore.
- Regularly monitor construction progress, identify variances against the baseline, and update the schedule accordingly.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to coordinate activities and ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts or delays and propose effective mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress reports, and other planning documentation as required.
- Assist in resource and cost loading of schedules to support project budgeting and forecasting.
- Support the team in risk management, scenario planning, and delay analysis.
- Participate in regular progress meetings and contribute insights for effective project control and decision-making.
- Ensure alignment of the construction schedule with procurement and engineering deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning/scheduling within large-scale construction projects, preferably in Data Centre or similar industrial buildings.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Procore.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiar with construction methodologies, workflows, and contract requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
