Senior Project Manager

Job Responsibilities Senior Project Manager in the context of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) in Malaysia typically holds a high-level managerial position responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale projects. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing and overseeing the entire lifecycle of complex engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning projects. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. 1. Project Planning & Strategy a. Develop and execute project strategies, plans, and objectives. b. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. 2. Project Executive a. Lead project teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, construction personnel, and others. b. Ensure all project phases are executed efficiently and meet quality standards. 3. Budget & Resource Management a. Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and tracking. b. Allocate and manage project resources effectively. 4. Schedule Management a. Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines. b. Implement strategies to address delays or issues that may arise during the project. 5. Risk Management a. Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation plans. b. Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle. 6. Stakeholder Communication a. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. b. Ensure effective communication and address stakeholder concerns promptly. 7. Quality Assurance a. Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet specifications and industry standards. 8. Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance a. Ensure that safety and environmental standards and regulations are followed throughout the project. 9. Reporting a. Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients and senior management. b. Maintain accurate project documentation and records. 10. Contract Management a. Oversee contract negotiations and administration. b. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and terms. Job Requirement: 1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field. 2. Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in project management, with a focus on EPCC projects. 3. Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are often preferred. 4.
