JOB PURPOSE
- To support market research activities which includes gathering and analysing industry data and market trends, compiling industry news and preparing periodical publications of the department.
Research & Analysis
- Research and analyse fundamental industry data including shipping tanker rates (average spot and time charter rates), fleet development (deliveries and demolition), oil and gas demand and supply (outlook) as well as the macro environment of our business, for our research report and periodical publications such as Strategic Pulse (bi-weekly) and Industry Newsletter (monthly).
- Search and compile news on current economic climate, latest market development, and disseminate the news compilation to the whole Group on daily basis, keeping the organisation up to date on the latest industry developments.
- Support any ad-hoc research on key business drivers/environments, as and when requested by the management and the business.
- Collaborate with internal research units and external research houses to enhance market intelligence and provide comprehensive industry insights.
Knowledge Management
- Maintain Strategic Research’s knowledge management portal in Sharepoint by uploading research reports, market outlook and insightful publications produced by third party (subscriptions) in an organised manner.
- Manage all subscriptions under the purview of Strategic Research, especially in managing subscription renewals and ensure seamless/undisrupted subscription service, as well as attending to request from BUs/SUs for new subscription.
- Manage vendor-related matters including all Coupa-related processes, third-party due diligence as well as monitor payment status for completion.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience.
- Knowledge in Maritime or Oil & Gas industry would be an added advantage.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Studies / Economics / or other industry-related qualifications.
