Accounts Payable Manager

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Manager, who will oversee entire routine department activities, such as disbursing checks and processing invoices, to ensure that they are completed accurately, on time and comply to company policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

As an AP Manager, you will lead the AP processes according to the agreed governance model.

You will also be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

• Mentor and evaluate the account payable team to ensure optimal performance and career development. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Lead AP process according to the agreed governance model.
• Ensuring appropriate AP processes, controls, policies, and procedures are in place and comply with company standards
• Managing and monitoring the AP process performance according to given rules, time-line, and service level
• Resolution of reconciliation issues and guiding team members to resolve complex issues
• Dealing with stakeholders/business partners to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organizational goals.
• Support /drive improvement initiatives as driven by the Global team
  
  

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years experience in their post-qualification role with at least 1-2 years of management/team lead position.

Other skills and qualifications include;

• Bachelor’s degree in business studies, management, economics, finance/accounting/banking, or equivalent; relevant professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA )
• MS Office knowledge
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc). Oracle user knowledge is an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills & proficient in English
• Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task
• Results-oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player
• Able to lead & work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff
