As a Payroll Specialist at Nokia, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across the APAC region. Collaborating closely with HR and Finance teams, you will manage end-to-end payroll operations while navigating complex employment legislation and compliance requirements. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Manage and process end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with APAC legislation and Nokia guidelines.
  • Validate and check monthly payroll data for accuracy prior to payments, including overtime and standby validations.
  • Oversee statutory and non-statutory compliance for payments, filings, and records management across various countries.
  • Lead audit activities and collaborate with local HR managers to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with payroll vendors, managing issues and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Provide data and insights for payroll data quality reports and financial accruals in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Advise HR management on legislative changes and best practices related to payroll and employee compensation.
  • Support restructuring initiatives with a focus on timely execution and minimal employee disruption.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • 2+ years of experience in Payroll/HR
  • Expertise in APJ employment and taxation legislation
  • Proficiency in SOX compliance and audit processes
  • Fluent in Chinese Mandarin (spoken and written)

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience with global mobility and company share programs
  • Strong analytical skills for data quality and KPI reporting
  • Project management experience in HR initiatives
  • Knowledge of payroll vendor management and processes
