About the Role: As a Business Development & Account Manager at Optimum, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our IT consulting and staffing projects. This position involves full ownership of engagement delivery, client relationship management, and new business development, especially within the banking and financial services sector. You'll work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovation and proactive thinking are encouraged. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the delivery and execution of multiple client engagements, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and establishing long-term credibility. • Identify and develop new business opportunities while managing and expanding relationships within existing client accounts. • Cultivate strong, strategic relationships with customers, positioning Optimum as a trusted partner for large-scale and profitable IT engagements. • Sell a broad range of IT solutions and services, including managed capacity projects and time & materials (T&M) based offerings. • Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to ensure consistent delivery excellence and sustainable account growth. • Operate within a high-energy, rapidly growing team environment that supports innovation, continuous learning, and career progression. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in business development and account management within the IT consulting and recruitment sector, ideally with a focus on banking and financial services. • Strong understanding of the technology and staffing landscape across Malaysia, Singapore, and the broader APAC region. • Proven track record in client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue growth in a sales-driven environment. • Solid experience in recruitment/staffing industry in the sales and account management function. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
