About The Role
The Manager, Operations Excellence and Transformation plays a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, process innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Hong Kong insurance operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Reporting and Testing Center, this role will be instrumental in leading transformation programs and embedding a culture of process excellence to support AIA HK’s strategic priorities.

About The Role
The Manager, Operations Excellence and Transformation plays a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, process innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Hong Kong insurance operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Reporting and Testing Center, this role will be instrumental in leading transformation programs and embedding a culture of process excellence to support AIA HK’s strategic priorities.
Job Description
Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Lead process reviews and diagnostics across HK Transaction Hub to identify improvement opportunities and develop action plans.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other process improvement tools to streamline workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance customer and employee experiences.
- Develop and implement performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor improvement initiatives and business outcomes.
- Facilitate process design workshops and cross-functional collaboration to drive end-to-end transformation.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by sharing best practices.
- Support the design and execution of strategic transformation programs across insurance operations.
- Drive implementation of automation, digital solutions, and re-engineering projects that support future-ready operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to ensure change initiatives are aligned with business goals and timelines.
- Monitor risks and dependencies in transformation projects and ensure mitigation strategies are in place.
- Promote best practices in governance, documentation, and communication for transformation efforts.
- Work closely with Reporting & Data Analytics teams to leverage insights for driving transformation decisions.
- Partner with various teams including HK Life Operations, IT, Quality, and Vendor Management to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.
- Present regular updates and insights to Senior Manager and key stakeholders on progress, roadblocks, and success stories.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in operations, process improvement, or transformation roles, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Certified in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or above preferred) is an advantage.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional projects and implementing process changes with measurable results.
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to influence senior leaders.
- The role is required to follow Hong Kong working calendar.
