JOB PURPOSE
- Support in the evaluation and analysis of investment opportunities and corporate projects. This includes conducting market research, financial modelling and preparing deal documentation to facilitate the decision-making process.
- The role will also involve supporting value assurance for capital projects and contributing to the development and implementation of business improvement initiatives.
Investment Analysis & Research:
- Support to perform market and industry research for investment opportunities and corporate projects.
- Evaluate market outlook, sector trends, competitive landscapes and associated risks for investment opportunities and corporate projects.
- Monitor key investment trends, market data and news that may impact investment opportunities and corporate projects.
Financial Modeling & Valuation:
- Develop financial models, including discounted cash flow models.
- Perform financial analysis, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, to evaluate investment viability.
- Calculate key financial ratios and metrics to assess investment attractiveness.
- Perform valuations using various methods (income, market and cost approaches).
Deal Execution & Reporting:
- Assist in all aspects of deal, including coordination and implementation of financial, legal, operational, and strategic assessments and to identify and mitigate potential risks involved.
- Assist to coordinate with internal teams and external advisors for a comprehensive and efficient due diligence process.
- Assist to prepare reports, board papers, presentations and deal documentation for stakeholders.
Value Assurance:
- Support MISC’s business units in evaluating the investment case for new capital projects.
Business Improvement:
- Support in the development and formulation of business improvement initiatives, including gathering relevant data, conducting in-depth analysis and benchmarking.
- Support in the implementation of such initiatives, including stakeholder management, project management, timeline monitoring and documentation.
REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, financial advisory services or a related field is an advantage.
- Experience with financial modeling, data analysis or research is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related field.
- Professional qualification is an advantage.
SKILLS:
- Strong analytical skills and able to perform detailed financial analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to perform financial modeling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to clearly present complex information.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
