JOB PURPOSE

  • Support in the evaluation and analysis of investment opportunities and corporate projects. This includes conducting market research, financial modelling and preparing deal documentation to facilitate the decision-making process.
  • The role will also involve supporting value assurance for capital projects and contributing to the development and implementation of business improvement initiatives.

Investment Analysis & Research:

  • Support to perform market and industry research for investment opportunities and corporate projects.
  • Evaluate market outlook, sector trends, competitive landscapes and associated risks for investment opportunities and corporate projects.
  • Monitor key investment trends, market data and news that may impact investment opportunities and corporate projects.

Financial Modeling & Valuation:

  • Develop financial models, including discounted cash flow models.
  • Perform financial analysis, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, to evaluate investment viability.
  • Calculate key financial ratios and metrics to assess investment attractiveness.
  • Perform valuations using various methods (income, market and cost approaches).

Deal Execution & Reporting:

  • Assist in all aspects of deal, including coordination and implementation of financial, legal, operational, and strategic assessments and to identify and mitigate potential risks involved.
  • Assist to coordinate with internal teams and external advisors for a comprehensive and efficient due diligence process.
  • Assist to prepare reports, board papers, presentations and deal documentation for stakeholders.

Value Assurance:

  • Support MISC’s business units in evaluating the investment case for new capital projects.

Business Improvement:

  • Support in the development and formulation of business improvement initiatives, including gathering relevant data, conducting in-depth analysis and benchmarking.
  • Support in the implementation of such initiatives, including stakeholder management, project management, timeline monitoring and documentation.

REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, financial advisory services or a related field is an advantage.
  • Experience with financial modeling, data analysis or research is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related field.
  • Professional qualification is an advantage.

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical skills and able to perform detailed financial analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to perform financial modeling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to clearly present complex information.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
