This role involves supporting Retrocession Operations, covering critical functions including Data Processing, Treaty Review, Report Validation, and Production Support, while conducting reviews of reinsurance processes to identify and mitigate operational and technological risks.

A Brief Overview
This role involves supporting Retrocession Operations, covering critical functions including Data Processing, Treaty Review, Report Validation, and Production Support, while conducting reviews of reinsurance processes to identify and mitigate operational and technological risks.
What You Will Do
- Plan processing timelines with stakeholder deadlines and internal business cycles; Prepare and validate data for system loading purposes; Setup retrocession and treaty parameters for calculations; Generate accruals, billings, journals, and reports
- Conduct review and validation of journals for accuracy and completeness; Perform trend analysis and review significant variances; Prepare retrocession reports for management review; Ensure proper integration of journals and data to downstream systems
- Support day-to-day production issues including system performance and data loading; Identify and document system defects, collaborating with IT for solutions; Manage user access rights to the retrocession system and data; Support administration system development cycles and testing
- Track and process recoveries related to retrocession claims; Monitor suspense, cash clearing, and payment reconciliation
- Support regional and global projects under management guidance; Research and resolve administrative, underwriting, and claim queries; Provide analysis and insights for non-routine business requests
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Information Technology, or a related field required
- 1+ Years of related experience in insurance operations, business analysis, or data management required
- Experience with data management/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, ETL, Python preferred
- Exposure to project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) required
- Strong oral and written communication skills (Required, Advanced) required
- Analytical and problem-solving skills (Required, Advanced) required
- Adaptability to new methods and ability to work under tight deadlines (Required, Intermediate) required
- Strong interpersonal skills (Required, Intermediate) required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects simultaneously (Required, Intermediate) required
- Advanced data analysis skills (Required, Advanced) required
- SQL query skills for data processing and analysis (Required, Intermediate) required
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (Required, Advanced) required
- Business Analyst certification preferred
