Primary Objective(s) of Position

Responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients and achieving sales targets in line with company goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate and close business deals while ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, marketing and product development, to support sales efforts and deliver exceptional customer solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, generate reports, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay informed about competitors and market conditions to effectively position our products/services in the market.
  • Follow-up on customer accounts receivables and proactively resolve any issues related to the collection of outstanding payments.
  • Ensure timely responses to RFQs (Request for Quotation) or tenders.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the company's network and generate leads.

Person Specifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Sales or any other discipline relevant to the supply chain or logistics industry
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in logistics or supply chain
  • Good presentation and communication skills
