Work you’ll do:

  • Lead accounts payable processes for assigned Malaysia entities
  • Process payment request submissions, including assigning appropriate GL & tax codes
  • Understand the cost allocation/sharing process and subsequently perform cost allocation across all Deloitte memberfirms whenever needed/necessary
  • Perform payments within Firm’s stipulate timelines via online banking transactions & interfirm netting
  • Manage communications pertaining payables inquiries with external & internal parties
  • Reconcile monthly statements from vendors & interfirms to address disputes & outstanding variances
  • Ensure appropriate accruals and adjusting entries have been recognized during each period close
  • Monitor and reconcile the Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) account to ensure accurate matching of goods receipts to corresponding invoices. Resolve any discrepancies promptly and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining applicable taxes records and timely payments
  • Participate in development & execution of relevant continuous operation improvement projects
  • Support in cross-function tasks & ad-hoc assignments required by Finance Managers & Directors
  • Check overseas invoices to ensure withholding taxes (WHT) and imported service tax (IST) are adhered too
  • E-invoice submission on LHDN website for all overseas invoices
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts on AP processes whenever necessary
  • Other adhoc tasks from time to time; e.g. Purchase portal monitoring, monitoring of memberfirm statements of accounts.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Diploma or Degree in Finance & Accounting.
  • Knowledge in WHT, IST and e-invoicing
  • 5-6 years working experience preferably in Accounts Payable
  • Excellent command in English and Bahasa Malaysia, written and spoken.
  • Proficient in MS Office, added advantage for knowledge of using SAP, SWIFT, ARIBA and FIORI
