Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all site staff and subcontractors comply with the Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) regulations and all site-specific safety requirements.
- Organize and conduct safety toolbox meetings, site inductions, and safety awareness campaigns.
- Submit weekly reports to management, highlighting findings and proposed action plans for improvement.
- Identify unsafe behaviors and issue stop-work orders with approval from the Project Manager.
- Verify that all site personnel possess valid work permits, CIDB cards, and proper identification.
- Enforce safety compliance by issuing penalties for violations to individuals and subcontractor workers.
- Investigate and prepare reports for all near misses and accidents.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings with the project team.
- Coordinate with DOSH/JKKP for site inspections and licensing matters.
- Liaise with CIDB on documentation and safety-related matters.
- Monitor night shift project activities as required.
- Communicate with local authorities and government officers for inspections and regulatory compliance.
- Organize and lead safety induction trainings, toolbox meetings, and Safety Committee meetings.
- Actively promote safety, health, and environmental awareness as a team player within the workplace.
- Ensure proper placement and availability of safety signages, first aid kits, and firefighting equipment at the site.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) or a related field.
- Registered with DOSH/JKKP and holds a valid Green Book.
- Minimum 3–5 years of working experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry, preferably in high-rise building projects.
