Medical Officer
Job Purpose
The services provided in NCSM follow the 3 main pillars namely Care, Educate and Support. The pillar of care focuses on the clinical services and aspects of NCSM namely early detection, community, and corporate cancer screening programs. This position requires you to work closely with the Care Department to be a public health advocate, community screening medical officer and educate patients. Must be willing to be based in NCSM HQ, KL
Job Description
- Supervise or coordinate the work of the community health team and on-site care delivery service including physicians, nurses, or other professional staff members.
- Lead or work together in preventive medicine programs including in identification of groups at risk for specific preventable diseases, design or use surveillance tools, such as screening, lab
- Reports, and vital records, to identify health risks and develop health assessment methods or programs.
- Conducting Community Cancer and Health Screening Outreach Programs
- Carrying out Research
- Provide information about potential health hazards and possible interventions to the media, the public other health care professionals, or local, state, and federal health authorities as well as to communicate health and wellness information to the public.
- Social Marketing to use social media platforms for health promotion purposes.
Requirements
- Registered with Malaysian Medical Council (MMG) and valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC),
- Minimum 4 years of working experience
- Good interpersonal, persuasive and communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as effectively in a team
- Versatile, willing to learn on the job, think creatively for real-world problem solving and have empathy for dealing with patients, families and the community.
- Able to work flexi-hours, with certain duties arising outside working hours when required.
- Willing to travel to neighbouring states.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
