Job Summary:
The Retail Operation Executive is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the supermarket by coordinating between departments, managing staff performance, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enhancing customer experience. This role plays a vital part in optimizing store efficiency and achieving sales and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the daily operations of the supermarket to ensure efficiency and excellent customer service.
- Monitor staff scheduling, attendance, and performance to maintain optimal manpower coverage.
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely stock replenishment and accurate inventory levels.
- Implement and monitor merchandising standards, promotions, and pricing strategies in line with company guidelines.
- Address customer complaints and feedback professionally, aiming to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular store inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Analyze sales performance, customer trends, and operational data to recommend process improvements.
- Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring frontline staff to maintain high levels of performance and service.
- Ensure adherence to all company SOPs and policies, including cash handling, loss prevention, and security.
- Prepare reports on store performance, sales targets, shrinkage, and operational issues for management review.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in retail or supermarket operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems; knowledge of inventory or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, including weekends and holidays.

- Familiarity with retail KPIs, merchandising practices, and store layout planning.
