As the AP & Treasury Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth payment operations and effective treasury management. You will work closely with the Head of Finance to support financial operations, manage cash flow, and optimize international payments and banking relationships.

Account Payable
  • Verification of vendor invoices: Review and verify vendor invoices, monitor credit terms and schedule payments.
  • Verification of expense claims: Validate employee expense claims in accordance with company policy and prepare timely reimbursements.
  • Record transactions: Post transactions accurately in the accounting system and reconcile entries with reports
  • Bank reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliation follow up on the open items

Treasury
  • Opening account with Financial Institution: Assist in opening accounts with bank, stock broker and etc in different jurisdictions.
  • Maintaining bank records/database: Maintain up-to-date banking and trading account records in the internal database.
  • Answering Know-Your-Client (KYC): Assist in completing KYC documentation and inquiries from financial institutions.
  • Cashflow management: Update and manage weekly cashbook; monitor cash balance to ensure sufficient liquidity.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to explore:
    • Financial products that optimise returns on idle cash
    • Cost-efficient international payment methods to reduce transactions fees.
    • Foreign currency hedging strategies and engage with FX dealers when required


Requirements
  • Experience in financial accounting and treasury operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Mandarin and Malay (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets - Ms.Excel
  • Knowledge and experience in AutoCount or any cloud accounting system will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under a dynamic and challenging environment.
