SENIOR FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (HQ BASED PETALING JAYA)
JOB FUNCTIONS: SENIOR FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Reporting to:
JD role not limited to TIM’s and/or associate silica beneficiation companies;
You will be the Group's financial and accounting strategic advisor to the business and provide strong financial leadership expertise in accordance with the internal policies and statutory requirements. Manage the Group's cash flows within available facilities, providing appropriate reporting to CEO and Directors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be accountable for producing the annual audited financial statements, working closely with the senior management team to provide and refine as necessary the financial reports and associated analysis across the growing business unit on an accurate and timely basis;
- Ensure statutory requirements are met in accordance with internal policies and applicable regulations;
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition;
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances;
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements;
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting;
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance;
- Support month-end and year-end close process;
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
- Lead the annual planning exercise, including the preparation of forecasts, and provide financial analysis and insights to support the development of the company strategy;
- Lead, engage and develop the personnel within all areas of the finance team;
- Manage all aspects of the finance function for the income statement, balance sheet, product profitability, capital and risk management;
- Monitor the risk profile and solvency of the company, recommending suitable arrangements to manage risks;
- Provide financial advice and support to the CEO, senior management and Board of Directors of the business unit in the development of major objectives and policies, in the review of plans and the development of appropriate financial controls and reports;
- Establish, implement and monitor appropriate control and accounting systems;
- Report monthly results to the Board of Directors;
- Safeguard the company assets and comply with all reporting standards (IFRS and the local GAAP);
- Additional controller duties as necessary.
Requirement
- Degree in Accounting / Finance & Professional Qualification in ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Accounting / Finance/ Investment/ Economics/ or equivalent
- Proven management skills
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial reporting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
