We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Mechanical Engineer to join our team and be fully dedicated to a meaningful and impactful project: the Emergency & Transitional Housing Project. This role is not automotive-related, and will focus entirely on the design, development, and implementation of modular and scalable emergency housing solutions. Responsibilities: -Design, develop and improve emergency and transitional housing structures; -Create 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred); -Work with various plastic manufacturing methods: extrusion, injection molding, thermoforming, 3D printing; -Source materials, parts, and related services; -Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met; -Apply creative problem-solving to engineering and technical challenges; -Manage timelines and budgets effectively; -Contribute to product innovation with a focus on practicality and social impact. Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 2. Strong technical and mechanical knowledge; 3. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills; 4. Proficiency in CAD software – SolidWorks preferred; 5. Hands-on experience in plastic manufacturing processes; 6. A creative and solution-oriented mindset; 7. Commercial awareness and cost sensitivity; 8. Experience in materials, parts, and vendor sourcing; 9. Project management experience is a plus; 10. Strong organizational and planning abilities; 11. Excellent communication skills; 12. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (additional languages are a bonus); 13. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; 14. Comfortable working with deadlines and managing time effectively.
