Job Title: Head of Brand – Brand Building

Location: Malaysia

Job Summary

The Head of Brand is responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of the brand(s) under your care. You will lead the end-to-end brand building journey from insight generation to execution, ensuring alignment across product development, marketing, and commercial teams. This role is highly collaborative, cross-functional, and performance-driven.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Brand Leadership

  • Own and lead the annual brand strategy and marketing calendar, setting ambitious yet achievable goals in line with business priorities.
  • Translate consumer insights and market data into actionable brand strategies, storytelling platforms, and campaign narratives.
  • Drive brand equity, market share, and consumer engagement through effective positioning and innovation.

2. Innovation & Product Development

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration on New Product Development (NPD), from ideation to market launch.
  • Champion a consumer-first approach by working with Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) and Product Acceleration Squad to guide innovation.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Activation

  • Partner closely with Digital Transformation, Media, PR, Channel Marketing Management (CMM), and Market Development to ensure 360 brand presence.
  • Ensure flawless campaign execution and brand activations across online and offline channels.
  • Monitor brand performance and optimize plans based on real-time insights and analytics.

4. Team & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of brand executives and assistants.
  • Present plans and results to key internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Align with commercial, sales, and trade teams to ensure strategic consistency and commercial viability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in brand management or marketing, preferably in beauty, FMCG, or lifestyle industries.
  • Proven track record of leading brand campaigns and launching successful products.
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Passionate about brands, creativity, and consumer behavior.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, market analytics, and project management.
