Assistant Accounting Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accounting Manager to support our accounting operations. This role will assist in overseeing daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong technical accounting skills and leadership potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations (GL, Inter-company, Payroll Accounting)
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow)
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Help coordinate annual audits and tax filings
- Implement and maintain accounting controls/policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
- Assist with special projects (system implementations, process improvements)
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
- 6-8 years in accounting roles, including 2+ years in supervision or project management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle) and advanced Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS
- Good understanding of internal controls and corporate governance.
- Motivated self-starter, resourceful and ability to work independently; keen to learn with the ability to collaborate with various departments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Leadership experience preferred
- Strong language skills, including English and Chinese will be an added advantage
