Why this role?

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the Unit Sourcing Manager in executing sourcing strategies within a specific unit. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify local sourcing opportunities, manage supplier tenders, and act as the contract owner for selected suppliers. You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing supplier relationships. Additionally, you'll support individual customer projects by addressing their unique procurement needs and ensuring the optimal supplier setup is in place for successful project delivery.

What will you be doing?

  • Defining sourcing plans tailored to individual customer projects and collaborating closely with project teams to understand their specific needs.

  • Running Request for Quotations (RFQs) for project-specific materials and negotiating contracts with selected suppliers.

  • Advising customer-facing teams on preferred suppliers and making final supplier decisions for customer projects.

  • Delivering cost savings and ensuring accuracy in savings data across sourcing activities.

  • Supporting product/service cost reductions and contributing to cost models within your area of responsibility.

  • Ensuring contract coverage and quality, while complying with contract owner tasks as per KONE’s supplier segmentation guidelines.

  • Driving supplier performance and on-time delivery, maintaining high standards of quality and classification management.

  • Meeting internal control requirements and supporting sourcing performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Are you the one?

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and applications.

  • The ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural setting.

  • A sound understanding of supply market dynamics and technology drivers in your area of spend.

  • Strong stakeholder and change management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across teams.

  • Solid project management capabilities and a good understanding of supply markets relevant to your area.

  • Expertise in supplier tendering, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.

  • Knowledge of supplier performance and quality management practices.

  • Familiarity with technologies and systems within your area of responsibility.
