Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) is a Malaysian Federal Government statutory body tasked with the objective of regulating and driving various stakeholders in both public and private sectors towards realizing the vision of developing Iskandar Malaysia into a strong and sustainable metropolis of international standing.

Overall Accountability:

Software Developer reporting to Head of Unit, ICT Infrastructure, Technology & Innovation: Design, develop, manage, and maintain the organization’s application systems and use; and evaluate and provide technical expertise related to information technology software and systems. Responsible for end-to-end system development and support of IRDA’s application systems, including gathering business requirements, designing, developing and testing solutions using SDLC and Agile methodologies, and ensuring timely delivery that meets business objectives. It involves close collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams, recommending process improvements, supporting system integration, planning and assisting User Acceptance Test (UAT), managing deployments, and maintaining documentation to ensure systems remain efficient, secure, and scalable for future organizational needs. To perform other tasks related to the Department/ Division’s roles.

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree or recognized professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and exposure to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/ or Agile development methodologies. Experience in project management is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, Python and CSS.
  • Excellent time and priority management.
  • Passionate about learning new programming languages.
  • Poses critical, creative thinking skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Good teamwork and excellent communication skills, both in speaking and writing.
  • Proactive, fast learner and continuously improve knowledge on ICT/ technology trends and technical skills.
