Private Credit Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Private Credit Analyst to join our growing investment team. In this role, you will support the underwriting, execution, and monitoring of private credit investments across a range of industries and structures. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, eager to learn, and passionate about private markets and credit investing.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Support:
- Assist in evaluating new private credit opportunities including direct lending, unitranche, mezzanine, and structured credit.
- Conduct industry and company-specific research to support investment theses.
- Build financial models and perform scenario analyses to assess credit risk and return profiles.
- Support the preparation of investment memorandums and materials for internal approval processes.
Due Diligence & Execution:
- Participate in due diligence processes including financial, operational, and legal reviews.
- Help coordinate third-party due diligence providers (accounting, legal, technical advisors, etc.).
- Review legal documentation and support deal closing logistics.
Portfolio Monitoring:
- Track ongoing performance of portfolio companies including financial performance, covenant compliance, and credit metrics.
- Assist in preparing portfolio reviews, reporting materials, and investor updates.
- Monitor market trends and developments relevant to the portfolio and pipeline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, credit research, or asset management (internship or full-time).
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills; familiarity with cash flow modeling and debt structuring is a plus.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and credit fundamentals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
