  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

The Network Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the school’s network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring reliable connectivity, supporting educational technology and enhancing the overall network performance of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Network Optimization and Performance

  • Monitor network performance for hardware and software and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
  • Assist with the management of network security protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct regular network assessments and implement improvements as needed to enhance reliability and security.
  • Configure and maintain system monitoring backups.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including configurations, logs and files.

Network Development and Strategy

  • Participate in the design and implementation of new network solutions and upgrades, ensuring alignment with the school’s education objectives and technology.
  • Assess current and future network capacity needs, making recommendations for upgrades or expansions to support the school’s growth.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating the potential application within the school’s network infrastructure.

Troubleshooting and Support

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for network-related issues to staff and students, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Assist in the setup, relocation and installation of network equipment and infrastructure as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network or a related field.
  • CISCO certification (CCNA) and CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Familiarity with VMware and virtualization technologies.
  • 8 years of experience in managing network infrastructure.
  • Sound understanding of structured cabling, networks, firewall management, routers and switches.
  • Experience in network monitoring tools, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving network issues, to minimize downtime.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work with diverse teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
