Job Description:
- Interpret and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) by checking item requirements, pricing, and identifying potential vendors (Purchasing).
- Issue Purchase Orders accurately and timely (Purchasing).
- Follow up on delivery schedules and re-scheduling as needed (Purchasing).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is maintained. Verify that all purchased materials & parts meet quality standards.
- Work closely with internal departments such as production, engineering, and finance to align purchasing activities and manage inventory efficiently.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum SPM or Diploma in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field.
- Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the automation / sheet metal industry.
- Material – strong knowledge of raw materials (aluminium, steel, stainless steel etc.).
- Standard Part – strong knowledge in mechanical and electrical/electronic components.
- Basic knowledge of interpreting Bills of Materials and technical drawings.
- Ability to work in face-paced environments independently.
