Warehouse Assistant – Tray Operations (Simpang Pulai)

Job Description: This role supports daily operations at the Recycling Service Unit (RSU) of the Simpang Pulai Distribution Centre. The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for cleaning and preparing returnable trays and equipment used for store deliveries. The work involves physical handling, equipment washing, stacking, and rotating duties within the RSU floor, with strict adherence to hygiene and safety protocols. Main Responsibilities: - Wash and clean returnable green baskets, trays, and equipment using Tray Washing Machines and manual washing methods. - Remove labels, cable ties, wrapping materials, and any remaining waste from used equipment before and after washing. - Stack, palletize, and relocate cleaned trays to designated RSU storage areas. - Sort incoming empty equipment returned from stores and assist with blue box sorting. - Conduct basic equipment repair, including replacing broken handles and fixing damaged trays. - Rotate duties with other operators including: - In-feed tasks: Feeding trays into the machine, removing waste - Out-feed tasks: Removing labels, stacking, and palletizing clean trays - Perform housekeeping tasks inside and around the washing machine every four hours or as instructed. - Report any machine breakdowns or issues to RSU Operations team immediately. - Comply with all safety protocols, including wearing full PPE (e.g., apron, gloves, safety boots) during washing operations. Location: Simpang Pulai, Perak - Working Days: 5 days per week (shift-based) - Indoor warehouse environment with wet and humid working areas Requirements: - Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks in wet conditions - Able to work rotating shifts - Able to follow work instructions and hygiene standards - No prior experience required — training will be provided - Basic understanding of Bahasa Malaysia or English is an advantage
