Position Summary: The Student Affairs Officer is responsible for managing and enhancing the student experience by providing support services, organizing activities, and ensuring student well-being. This role involves working closely with students, faculty, and administrative staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Student Support & Counseling: • Provide guidance and support to students regarding academic, personal, and career-related concerns. • Address student grievances and work on conflict resolution. • Collaborate with faculty and counselors to ensure students’ overall well-being. 2. Student Engagement & Activities: • Plan, coordinate, and oversee student events, clubs, and extracurricular activities. • Promote student leadership and encourage participation in co-curricular programs. • Foster an inclusive and diverse campus culture. 3. Discipline & Code of Conduct: • Enforce institutional policies related to student behavior and discipline. • Investigate and resolve disciplinary matters fairly and effectively. • Educate students on ethical conduct and institutional rules. 4. Welfare & Well-Being: • Develop initiatives to support student mental health and wellness. • Work with external organizations to provide necessary support services. • Ensure a safe and secure campus environment. 5. Career & Professional Development: • Organize workshops, seminars, and career counseling sessions. • Facilitate internships and job placements by liaising with employers. • Guide students on skill development and employability. 6. Administrative & Policy Implementation: • Maintain student records and prepare reports on student affairs activities. • Implement institutional policies related to student services. • Develop strategies for improving student satisfaction and retention. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. • Experience in student affairs, counseling, or academic administration. • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to handle student concerns with empathy and professionalism. • Experience in event management and student engagement is an advantage. • Knowledge of institutional policies and student welfare practices.
