This role is responsible for bulk commodity trading activities, including negotiating high-volume deals, managing client relationships, and optimizing trading operations. The ideal candidate must have strong commercial acumen, deep market knowledge, and Arabic language proficiency to effectively engage with Arabic-speaking clients and stakeholders. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Bulk Trader – Arabic Speaker role is to develop, manage, and expand bulk commodity trading operations in Arabic-speaking regions. This includes identifying profitable trading opportunities, negotiating high-value contracts, managing client relationships, and optimizing supply chain logistics. The role involves market analysis, risk management, and financial forecasting to maximize trade profitability while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and operational efficiency in bulk commodity movements. KEY INTERFACES: INTERNAL Sales Team, Logistics & Supply Chain Team, Finance Team, Legal & Compliance Team EXTERNAL Buyers & Importers, Distributors & Traders, Financial Institutions, Government & Regulatory Authorities SECTION C: KEY RESPONSIBILITY 1. Bulk Commodity Trading and Market Expansion o Identify and secure new business opportunities for bulk trading in GCC, MENA, and North Africa. o Develop and maintain relationships with bulk buyers, traders, and importers. o Analyze bulk commodity price trends, market demand, and trade patterns to optimize trading strategies. 2. Sales and Negotiations o Negotiate bulk pricing, contracts, and trade terms with key stakeholders. o Secure high-value bulk trade deals while ensuring profitability and risk management. o Utilize Arabic language proficiency to enhance negotiations and communications with regional partners. 3. Market Intelligence and Strategic Insights o Conduct competitor analysis, pricing assessments, and demand forecasting for bulk commodities. o Provide trade reports and sales forecasts to senior management for strategic planning. o Stay updated on regional policies, tariffs, and import/export regulations affecting bulk trade. 4. Risk Management and Compliance o Ensure all bulk trading activities comply with international trade laws and company policies. o Mitigate risks related to currency fluctuations, contract terms, and supply chain disruptions. o Work closely with finance and legal teams to manage trade risks effectively. 5. Supply Chain and Logistics Coordination o Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure smooth shipment and timely delivery of bulk commodities. o Optimize supply chain processes, manage bulk shipping documentation, incoterms, and customs clearance. o Work with suppliers to ensure product quality and contract fulfillment. 6. Client Relationship Management and Business Development o Act as the key point of contact for Arabic-speaking bulk trade clients and stakeholders. o Strengthen relationships with financial institutions, trade agencies, and industry partners. o Represent the company at bulk trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events. SECTION D: QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES: EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS 1. Language Requirement: Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written) is essential; proficiency in English is advantageous. 2. 5+ years of experience in bulk commodity trading, international trade, or large-scale commodity exports. 3. Proven expertise in negotiation, contract management, and trade finance (LC, incoterms, payment terms, etc.). 4. Strong market knowledge of bulk palm oil, agro-commodities, or FMCG bulk trading. 5. Experience working with bulk importers, distributors, and buyers in GCC/MENA markets. 6. Understanding of regional trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements for bulk trading. 7. Analytical and strategic thinking skills to optimize bulk trade profitability. 8. Strong networking and relationship-building skills with industry stakeholders EDUCATION REQUIREMENT Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Trade, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
