Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Equestrian Coach to lead and develop our school’s equestrian program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coaching students of varying skill levels in horseback riding, stable management, and equestrian competition preparation, while ensuring the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship, and animal welfare. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging riding lessons and coaching sessions for students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. - Supervise and manage students during riding sessions, training, and competitions. - Provide instruction in horse care, grooming, tack maintenance, and stable management. -Develop individualized training programs for student riders, focusing on skill development, confidence-building, and competition readiness. - Coordinate participation in local and regional equestrian events and competitions. - Maintain accurate records of student progress, horse health, and training schedules. - Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and equine welfare standards. - Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external organizations to promote the equestrian program. - Assist in the care and management of the school’s horses, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and veterinary care coordination. Qualifications: - Proven experience as an equestrian coach, riding instructor, or similar role. - Relevant equestrian coaching certification (e.g., BHS, USHJA, CHA, or equivalent). - Strong knowledge of horse care, riding techniques (English/Western as appropriate), and stable management. - Experience coaching young people in an educational or recreational setting preferred. - Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. - Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
