Job Responsibilities: • To make sure that all the departments of the airport are functioning well, an airport operations manager must coordinate between different departments of the airport. • They also must coordinate with clients in making deals that are beneficial for the business. • They look after the equipment, maintenance, and operations staff. • At times airport operations managers are also supposed to conduct training sessions for the staff that works in the airport to provide customer service. • He also helps in enforcement of policies in the airport and works with tenants to meet the requirements of the state and federal law to ensure safe operation of the airport. • He also decides budgets which provide long term benefits to implement new projects and upgrading the airport facilities. • They also carry out inspections periodically to make sure that the equipment are well maintained and necessary facilities are provided to the passengers. • Controlling inventory is also a part of their job. • They communicate directly with the pilots and people controlling air traffic towers to make sure that there are no issues in their work. • They must maintain a report of all the operations that are being carried out and hand them to the senior officials. • During inspections or audits by the seniors and government officials they must interact with them and hand them the maintained reports.
